When attempting to join a meeting or webinar using Internet Explorer, you may receive an error message if there is a problem with your browser security settings. You may either manually download the GoToMeeting software or change your browser security settings.

Manually download the GoToMeeting software
You may work around this error by manually downloading the GoToMeeting software
On the download screen under Did GoToMeeting Launch? click download GoToMeeting
To change your browser security settings
Click Tools
Internet Options
Click Security tab
Click Custom Level
Change the setting "Run components not signed with Authenticode" to Enabled in Internet Explorer's security settings for the Internet Zone. (If you are unable to make changes to your browser's security settings you will need to manually download the software)

Another cause for this particular error message "Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor." may be caused by ClickOnce cache being corrupted.
